Re: 2025 Ironton Gridiron Classic
From what I overheard last night both schools had been contacted in some fashion and both turned turned them down
Re: 2025 Ironton Gridiron Classic
Wouldn’t shock me, those schools don’t have any need to travel that far and give up a home game to do it. The gates at those games are incredible for the MAC so why would they need to travel 3 hrs? They don’tWinnerWinner wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:51 pmFrom what I overheard last night both schools had been contacted in some fashion and both turned turned them down

I know this post is about the Classic, but the conversation was for any open week ML or CW had available.formerfcfan wrote: Sun Dec 08, 2024 11:04 amThey aren’t open the week of the Ironton Classic.WinnerWinner wrote: Sat Dec 07, 2024 10:51 pmFrom what I overheard last night both schools had been contacted in some fashion and both turned turned them down

either school for a game. They weren’t interested. They don’t need Ironton in their life. The MAC is tough enough and Ironton needs them more than they need Ironton

I like see Ironton bring in one of them teams from Indiana the Cincy schools schedule for the classic or one of them larger teams from Tennessee Nashville region wouldn’t be a bad drive from either area 6 hour or so drive and decent competition.

It is weird and sad that I had just made plans with Iron Mike (who used to post on here), and then he passed away the night of the Ironton State final game. I still might go.
